We left Rockford about 8:00 AM. There were 14 of us going down then. Pastor Chip and Janet followed after church. The trip was very wet all the way. We made the usual stops at the Artisan Center in Berea, Ky and Sonny's for BBQ for lunch.

Another great day. We started the day by unloading the articles for the Thrift Store and the Food Pantry. We then had a good start to the day on the building. Luckily, we had "clean" dirt to dig in. We set the posts and anchored the frame. The joists were next and then the floor. That was before lunch. Afterwards, 3 walls went up before the rain storm. It looked nice from the owner's front porch.

Tonight, some of us are going into Pineville to pick up more supplies for the Food Pantry. Part of the team worked there today getting ready for the distribution tomorrow. Some items were drastically needed.

We started the day with the 3 walls we finished yesterday. The 4th wall was the opening of the shed. Trusses were delivered earlier today and we were able to install them as well before lunch.

While we were working on the roof, we were visited by 3 young relatives of the family. They were a treat to have around. Very nice boys.

Tomorrow is our travel day. Karla will have a list for us to purchase for the food pantry. Lunch in Harrogate, TN. Then a trip up to Tri-State Peak. Our Annual Mexican meal tomorrow night.

We began the day by being able to sleep in. Most did. Denny went on a hike with a group from camp. Some others had an extra cup of coffee. After breakfast, we went into Pineville to do our shopping for the Food Pantry. There was a pretty good sized load in the trucks because of the generosity of the churches.

We had lunch in Harrogate, TN. That was followed by our annual visit to the Visitors' Center of the Nation Park in Middlesboro. A hike to the top of Tri-State Peak was scheduled. (It seemed like a good idea at the time). It had been since 2006 since we had done that.

Laura (Camp Hostess) joined us for our Mexican Fiesta.

Today was a very warm day. At the job site, the house is surrounded by trees that blocked the wind. The team was able to finish the roof, mount the doors, install the trim and soffit, and 3 sides of siding. The campus team dealt with a delivery at the Food Pantry and continued trying to separate and place clothing items out for customers.

We had a worship service in the evening. The 180 or so people in attendance made a very joyful noise to the Lord with the older hymns that were sung. We were able to celebrate communion after the message.

We're hoping to finish the project tomorrow morning and maybe head home in the afternoon.

Friday morning was our last day at the site. The door side of the shed's siding was completed as well as the ramp to the shed. 2 brothers and an aunt had come down from Michigan to deliver a mower to our family. The gave us great praise for a job well done. Which we appreciated.

The time was then to return the ladders to the shop and police the area for any dropped screws or nails. We also said our good-byes to Harry and Bob at the shop and Bill Roy. We then cleaned our rooms at the house and packed to return home. We made it home by about 8:00.

All in all it was a very good week. No major injuries to report. Good Deal!!

Thanks to all for your prayers, donations and thoughts!
